The National Student Financial Aid Scheme (NSFAS) has officially opened the 2025 application system.

Applications are now open and may shut on 15 December 2024.

*** Who qualifies for NSFAS funding

To qualify for NSFAS funding, an applicant will have to satisfy the following requirements:

• Be a South African citizen or copyright who originates from a house having a combined gross home earnings that does not exceed R350 000 for each annum.

• Persons with disabilities qualify if their combined residence cash flow will not exceed R600 000 per annum.

• SASSA recipients instantly qualify for funding and need not post any evidence of income.

The NSFAS Loan Scheme for the missing middle is open to all South African citizens and permanent people from households nsfas login with combined R350 000 and R600 000 for each annum.

Applicants are reminded to deliver the correct Identification Doc numbers, names, and surname, as mirrored in their South African ID.

NSFAS only funds individuals who are researching or plan to study at a public university or TVET college in South Africa.

All students who wish to study in any of the public universities and TVET colleges should apply timeously and not to wait until the last day.

Learners do not have to wait for more info matric results to apply for NSFAS. They should apply now and avoid delays in the processing of their application.
